How to manage your payment methods

Turn built-in methods on or off and add custom payment methods like a local bank app.

Every payment method that shows on your checkout modal is configured under Settings → Payment Methods. Built-in methods like Cash, Card, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, and Affirm each have an on/off toggle. You can also add custom methods for anything LunixPOS doesn't ship by default.

    Open Settings → Payment Methods

    From the sidebar click Settings, then Payment Methods.

    Toggle built-in methods on or off

    The Payment methods card lists every built-in option: Cash, Card, Debit/Credit Card, E-Transfer, Split Payment, Deposit, Payment Link, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, and Affirm. Each has a toggle. At least one must stay enabled — LunixPOS blocks disabling them all.

    Open Manage Custom Payment Methods

    Scroll to the Manage payment methods section. Click + New Payment Method (or the Add button shown when no custom methods exist).

    Add a custom method

    Type the name your team will see at checkout — e.g. 'ATH Móvil', 'Wire transfer', 'In-store credit'. Click Add another payment method to add more rows. Empty names are blocked when saving.

    Delete a method

    Click the trash icon on any row to remove a custom method.

    Click Save Changes

    The modal closes. Your new custom methods appear in the checkout payment-method picker immediately.

Pro tip

  • Custom payment methods are typed values — they don't connect to any external service. The money still needs to clear separately (e.g. confirm the bank app shows the transfer landed before you mark the order paid).
