Card terminals must be provisioned to your business through Stripe before they appear in LunixPOS. Once that's done, you manage them from the Terminal → Manage Readers page.
- 1
Confirm your terminal is provisioned
Your Stripe account needs to know about the terminal first. If you bought the terminal directly from LunixPOS, this is already done. If not, contact support and they'll provision it.
- 2
Open Terminal → Manage Readers
From the sidebar, click Terminal, then Manage Readers. You'll see every reader linked to your business.
- 3
Rename the reader
Click the edit icon on the reader row, type a name like "Front counter" or "Back office" so reports stay readable when you add more terminals, then click Save.
- 4
Set the default reader
If you have multiple readers at one location, tap Set as Default on the one your team should use unless they pick another.
- 5
Run a test charge
From the POS, ring a small test order and pay with Card Terminal. The amount sends to the terminal automatically — confirm the tap or chip prompt appears, then refund the test order.
Pro tip
- Terminal labels appear in every report by reader, so name them by physical location, not by serial number.
