A draft form has no link. Publishing is what creates one, and Lunix will not publish a form that cannot produce a lead you can contact. The checks are short, and every one of them tells you exactly what to fix.
- 1
Open the form and find the Publishing panel
Open the form from Workspace → Forms. The Publishing panel is where the Publish button lives, with the reason written beside it whenever the button is off. It is written on the panel, not only in a tooltip, because a tooltip never appears on a tablet.
- 2
Clear the checks
Publish stays off until all of these are true:
- The form has a name.
- It has at least one field.
- You have chosen the board and column responses go to.
- At least one field is saved to the lead as a contact name, email or phone — otherwise the lead arrives with no way to reach it.
- No two fields save to the same place.
- There are no file upload fields, which cannot be published yet.
- Your changes are saved.
- 3
Know the one that catches everyone
"Map a field to a name, email or phone" is the check people fight with. Having the question is not the same as having it mapped — a form asking "What is your email?" that is still on Answer only cannot be published. And a Short text field can never map to Email: change the Type to Email first, then map it. Lunix offers both fixes at the field itself.
- 4
Publish
Click Publish. The form's status changes from draft to published and its link is created.
- 5
Share the link
Copy Link to share and put it where your customers already are — a WhatsApp reply, your Instagram bio, a Google Business post, the QR code on the counter. This is the fastest way to get value out of a form; the website can wait.
- 6
Embed it on your website
Copy the snippet under Paste this on your website and drop it into the page. The form sizes itself to the height it needs, so it will not be cut off inside your layout — you do not have to guess a height or add a scrollbar.
- 7
Send yourself a test response
Open your own link and submit it. Then check the board and column you chose: a lead should be sitting there with the name, email and phone in their proper fields. If any of them are empty, a mapping is missing — fix it and try again.
- 8
Unpublish when a campaign ends
Unpublish takes the form offline without deleting anything. Responses you already have stay where they are; the link stops accepting new ones.
Proffs tips
- Every submission passes a bot check before it becomes a lead. That is not optional and it is why a form left open overnight does not fill your board with junk.
- Test with a real phone, not just your laptop. The type you set on each field decides which keyboard comes up, and that is most of whether a stranger finishes the form.
