A station is a physical till. Naming them turns "the register" into "Register 2", which is what makes a cash count, a customer display and a shift handover all point at the same counter.

Open Settings → Register stations
The screen adds and manages the cash drawers at this location. Stations belong to a location — a second branch has its own list.

Add a station per physical till
Click add and give it a name. Name it after the counter as your staff describe it: "Front", "Repairs desk", "Register 2". A session then reads as "Session 4 · Front", which is legible to somebody reconciling a week later.

Rename rather than recreate
When a counter moves or changes purpose, rename the station. Creating a new one splits its history in two.

Know what a station buys you
Three things attach to a station rather than to a person: the cash session and its end-of-day count, the customer display paired at that counter, and the register history you read afterwards. The display in particular is why this matters — it follows the station through a shift change, so a relief cashier does not have to re-pair anything.

Selling without a register is fine
You can still sell without opening a register. Stations and cash sessions are for controlling cash; a shop that takes only cards or transfers does not need a session open to ring a sale.

Check what your plan includes
The cash register is part of the paid plans, and running more than one register per location is a higher tier. If the register card is locked, that is what it is telling you.
Proffs tips
- One station per drawer, not per employee. Two cashiers sharing one drawer share one station and one count — which is the honest way to represent a shared drawer.
- If you have exactly one till, still name it. The default naming is what makes reports read as "Register 1" instead of nothing.
