LunixPOS uses the browser's Web USB API to talk to printers — no drivers to install on Mac. On Windows you may need to install the Zadig driver once.
- 1
Plug the printer in
Connect the printer to your computer via USB. Power it on and load a roll of paper.
- 2
Open Settings → Printers
From the sidebar click Settings, then Printers. You'll see two sections: Thermal Printer and Label Printer.
- 3
Click Pair Device on the right section
Tap Pair Device under Thermal Printer (for receipt printers like Star TSP100/143 or Rongta) or under Label Printer (for Dymo LabelWriter). Your browser opens a USB device picker.
- 4
Pick your printer in the picker
Select your printer from the browser's USB list and click Connect. The printer appears in the LunixPOS list with an Online badge if it's communicating.
- 5
Set it as the default
If you have multiple printers of the same type, tap "Set as Default" next to the one your team should use by default.
- 6
Print from the POS
Print a test receipt by ringing a $0 test order or use any existing order's Print Thermal Receipt action.
Wskazówka dla profesjonalistów
- Windows users: if the printer doesn't appear in the browser USB picker, install the free Zadig driver and bind the printer to the WinUSB driver. The Printers page links to the Zadig instructions.
