Who opened the store today?

A tablet on the counter and a PIN per person — no logins, no shared account. From your phone you can see who is in, who is late, and who has not come back from lunch.

How it works today

1The shift starts whenever somebody says it started.
2Hours get reconstructed from memory on payday.
3One shared login means nobody's hours are anybody's.

How it works in Lunix

One tablet, one PIN each, and nothing to log into

Pair the tablet once with a six-digit code that works a single time and expires in five minutes. After that each person types their own PIN and picks what to punch — the three buttons only wake up once the PIN is complete, because the clock should never choose for you. The screen clears itself so the next person can walk up.

How it behaves

A six-digit code that works once and expires after 5 minutes.
Identity
A PIN per person, unique inside your store. No email, no password.
Actions
Clock in, break, clock out — they turn on once your PIN is complete.
Losing the tablet
Unpair it and it stops accepting punches immediately.

Who is in right now, without asking anyone

The board is not a list of hours, it is the state of your floor at this second. Someone still out past their lunch allowance shows as «did not return» while it is happening — not in a report at the end of the month, when it is only useful for an argument.

Three questions decide whether the board can be trusted

Attendance software fails for one reason: it cries wolf. So before it marks anybody anything, Lunix asks the three things it genuinely cannot work out on its own — and then reads them from that day forward.

Attendance · Set the rules
1Does everyone work the days you are open? This is the difference between an absence and a day off, and it is the one thing we cannot work out on our own.
2Who keeps their own hours?A screen that marks the owner late every morning is a screen the team learns to ignore.
3How long is lunch?Somebody who has not come back is worth seeing today, not at the end of the month.
The number it surfaces

The floor at a glance, and the hours behind it

Open it at 9:15 and «did everyone show up» is already answered. The punch record behind it is a ledger — a correction adds a line saying who changed what, it does not overwrite the original.

Extra hours start out measuring only: they are counted and shown, but no premium is added until you set one. That is deliberate — the weekly limit and any premium rate are worth confirming with your accountant before the payroll figure changes.
