How to add a product with variants

Define variant attributes once and LunixPOS auto-generates every SKU combination.

Variant products keep your catalog tidy. Instead of creating fifteen separate products for fifteen iPhone tempered-glass models, you create one product with fifteen variants.

  1. 1

    Start a new product

Click Products → Add Product, then choose Item With Variants.

  2. 2

Fill in the parent product details

Title, description, category, vendor, tags, and images apply to the whole variant family.

  3. 3

    Define your attributes

In the Attribute Definition card, add the dimensions that make each variant unique — Name and Values (comma-separated).

    • Example for clothing: Color (Red, Blue, Green) + Size (S, M, L)
    • Example for electronics: Compatible model (iPhone 14, iPhone 15)
    • Drag attributes to reorder if you want them stacked differently
  4. 4

    Review the auto-generated combinations

LunixPOS creates a row for every combination of your attributes. Each row shows the auto-generated title, SKU, price, cost, and stock per location.

  5. 5

    Set prices and stock

Edit each row in-line, or click the edit icon to open the Variant Edit modal for a single combination. Tap "Set Uniform Price" at the top of the variants table to apply one price across every combination.

  6. 6

    Save

Click Save. The product appears in your catalog as a single entry — the list view will summarize it as "X available in Y variants" with a price range.
