Every response is kept in full, including the answers you never mapped onto the lead. The board is where you work; the responses list is where you go when you need to know exactly what somebody typed.
- 1
Find the response count
Workspace → Forms lists each form with how many fields it has and how many responses it has taken. A form that has never been published shows as a draft with no link yet, which is also why it has no responses.
- 2
Open the responses
Click into a form and open Responses. Each row is one submission with everything the customer typed — including the answers left on Answer only, which never made it onto the lead but are still worth reading.
- 3
Watch for "not added"
If a response could not be turned into a lead, the form carries a badge saying how many were not added. That is the one thing on this screen you have to act on: the answers are safe, but nobody is going to see them on the board.
- 4
Deal with a response that did not become a lead
Open it, read the answers, and create the lead by hand from what is there. Then look at why: a board or column that was deleted after the form was published is the usual cause, and it will keep happening until you point the form somewhere that still exists.
- 5
Use the empty state as a checklist
"Share the link and responses will show up here" means the form is live and nobody has used it. That is a distribution problem, not a form problem — the link is not anywhere your customers actually look.
Pro tip
- The responses list is the record of what was actually said. A lead's fields get edited as you work it; the response never changes.
- If you keep needing an answer that is on Answer only, map it — then it lands on the lead from the next response onwards.
