How to review the activity log

Audit who logged in, who changed prices, who refunded orders, and every other staff action.

4 min læst

The Activity Log is your audit trail for everything staff do in LunixPOS — logins, product edits, refunds, role changes, stock adjustments, repair status changes, and more. Owners and Managers (system role) see it from the top navigation.

  1. 1

    Open Activity log

Click the Activity log link in the top navigation bar. If you don't see it, your role doesn't have the activityLog privilege — ask an owner to enable it.

  2. 2

    Filter by employee

Click the Select Employee dropdown to scope the log to a specific user. Default is All Employees.

  3. 3

    Filter by event type

Click Event Type to focus on a category like product, order, payment, customer, repair, cashRegister, staff, role, or expense. Each category includes its sub-events (e.g. order.created, order.cancelled, payment.received).

  4. 4

Pick a date and time range

Use the date range picker for the days you want to audit. Add an optional time range (HH:MM AM/PM) to narrow further — useful for investigating a specific shift.

  5. 5

    Expand a row for details

Each log entry is expandable. Click to reveal metadata: the fields that changed, old vs new values, and links to the affected order, product, customer, or other entity.

  6. 6

    Export the log

Click Export to download the currently-filtered log. The export modal mirrors your filters (employee, event type, date range, current page) and exports up to 50 rows per page.

Pro tip

  • Investigating a missing refund? Filter Event Type to order or payment, set the date to the day in question, and check who initiated each action.
